Ford’s Path to Autonomous Dearborn Campus Shuttle Service in 2018
Ford is planning to offer an on demand shuttle service for employees using autonomous vehicles as part of our development and testing efforts beginning in 2018. The route is a good representation of a city route, including multiple stop signs, a traffic light, pedestrians, parking lots and right and left-hand turns. Ford is also testing on test tracks, such as Mcity, and other public roads in Michigan as well as in Arizona and California.
