Just a quick video of my brand new Chapel Hill brand 5 section traffic signal. This is an 8 inch aluminum signal with Kopp glass lenses. I wanted a slightly retro look, so it was ordered with “cap” style visors, glass lenses and incandescent versus newer “tunnel” style visors, and LED modules. This unit is quite heavy, weighing in at least 40 lbs, compared to what a polycarb would have weighed. Controlling the signal, is a T5 signal controller from Lights To Go. It has an adjustable time schedule and also offers a couple of different patterns for the arrows. Since this is indoors in my game room, I decided to go with 7.5 watt edison base night light bulbs. For this application, there is just a perfect amount of light and it isn’t a source of intense glare.
I will upload another video with another view that catches more of the visors and some of the body.
I hope you enjoy!
