For those who found my High Res version too jerky on their computer, here is a video I took with my iPhone.
As the text description posted with my high res video said…
This was a two year project that came to completion on December 2010.
The signal is controlled by a fully programmed circuit board created just for that purpose. It sits in the limited space inside the top. No holes were drilled for on/off running as it is operated by a remote control which allows stopping, starting and separate operation of each feature; the arms without the lights, the lights without the arms, the amber light alone, the bell on or off and even “park” (both arms down and unit completely off). This video shows the signal with all its features concurrently activated.
Special thanks to Dale Mark and Ed Tapanes for all their information and very special thanks to John Long of Star Systems (sstec.com) without whose invaluable help, with the restoration (from day one) and the ultimate creation of the electronics, this project would never have been completed.
