Hey /r/arduino
this was my first day of playing with an arduino. I was using the website,
https://learn.adafruit.com/series/learn-arduino
Adafruit has a pretty good series on playing with a arduino.
I just ordered some DC motors and sensors/lcd screens.
However, all I am doing is copy pasting the code, and following the instructions they give me. I feel like I have no clue how the code works. All I can do is tinker with it, (change the timing, the pin# etc). Im trying to figure out how I will learn the rest of the skills.
The last time I bread boarded was in 10th grade. I remember that we never used an arduino. We would use logic gates to create a traffic light, and LED counter, that would count or display our birthday.
I don’t remember much though. Just bits and pieces.
I have some unoriginal ideas I want to execute. (dancing LED’s, etc)
My end goal is to make a RC car, that I self program and can operate via RC or computer.
Even if my RC car looks like garbage, and can move 1 meter per second, I will be very proud of it.
I am also going to get a larger breadboard, and possibly some green boards to solder on.
So many possibilities.
