Don’t you find the trail end of traffic jams scary? With NXP’s V2X technology you can feel safer! The V2X (vehicle-to-x) communications solution, RoadLINK – developed by NXP, uses the wireless communications standard IEEE 802.11p in order to enable drivers to look beyond their own line of slight. Drivers receive early warnings of traffic blocks or cars hidden from sight behind trucks (when they suddenly brakes) or approaching from around (hidden/dangerous) corners/intersections.
The navigation system automatically provides a faster alternative route that avoids the traffic jam.
Other use cases are warnings about emergency vehicles and crashes, or traffic light signals allowing drivers to adjust their speed and optimize driving.
