The other night I rode my Victory Vegas Jackpot to Work…on my way Home I encountered both an idiot Driver, and an idiot Pedestrian, all within one Minute of each other. As I was travelling East on Beaver Street (Traffic Lights are synchronized and I had green all the way) I see a Vehicle that was travelling North come to a stop for the red Light that they had, about a block ahead of me. (+/- 7:18 Elapsed Time) As I’m anticipating the Driver to do something stupid (instinct/ESP, etc) sure enough, he/she does! As I get to within 1/2 a block from the Vehicle, who has a red Light, they pull out in front of me and turn left! Vehicles turning left in front of a Motorcycle is one of the most deadly things for Motorcyclists. Driver had a red Light, and goodness knows he/she could see me, as I have a combination of LED and HID Lighting on my Bike, yet they chose to run a red Light (even after they had already stopped! Red Traffic Lights are NOT Stop Signs!! ) and then they turned in front of me. Idiots! And then as I continue on my journey, after a few words which were directed at the idiotic Driver, I turn right from Beaver Street and go South on Main Street and that’s when I encounter a Woman (+/- 8:11 Elapsed Time) who is walking along the edge of the Road towards oncoming traffic, and there’s a Sidewalk like right next to her! Both sides of Main Street have ample Sidewalks for Pedestrians…but no, this Woman would rather walk in the Road! SIGH! I usually don’t post Videos of my night rides, as I know the low light conditions make a poor quality video, but I just felt the need to publish this one, and rant a bit. Enjoy.
