Frieghtliner Cascadia electrical issue

I’ve had this Freightliner in the shop 3 times with this issue. Okay… here’s the scoop on the Cascadia. Somewhere around the 20th of February I started having issues with the instrument and back lights on the dash and bunk switches not working. I made my delivery in Dallas on the 21st of February and took it to our shop. This mechanic stayed 3 hours past the time he was supposed to go home trying to get it fixed. He had it narrowed down to a cab short on circuit 29A. He told me he could take care of it, but it would require pulling the dash and would be several days until he was able to do it and suggested that I take it to the Dallas South Freightliner dealership. The next morning I dropped it off at the dealership and gave them all the info on the issue I had and was told they would call me in a few hours to let me know what they had found. So thinking they were gonna be pulling the dash which was going to take some time I took a cab and checked into a hotel. Sat around all day and waited for the dealerships call…. which never came. I ended up calling them around 5pm that day and was told they could not duplicate my issue, but they cleared out an old fault code and everything was fine… which I thought was strange because the lights weren’t working when I dropped it off. Went back to the dealership the following morning to pick up the truck and my bill for $112 dollars. Which was fine… I was just happy that the lights were working and I could get rolling again. I took a load that picked up the next morning at 5am because I thought I was good to go. Got up at 3:30am and did my pre-trip inspection and guess what? No dash or switch back lights…. grrr. I grabbed the load and drove in the daylight the next 2 days. When I got home I took it to my local Freighliner dealship and explained everything that had happened thus far. They called me the next day and said there were no codes for the dash lights, but the was a code for a modular field switch and that they had replaced it and that it seemed to have corrected the issue. Picked the truck back up March 1st and left for Georgia the following morning and drove until about 10:30 Saturday night with no problems. Got up Sunday morning and did my pre-trip and no dash lights again. Drove 150 miles and pulled into the receiver and what do you know they’re working and the dash fault code is gone…. I’m not a professional mechanic or electrician, but I’d say the first guy was right on the money with the electrical short. I’m taking it back to my local Freightliner dealership here in a couple of days….. keeping my fingers crossed.
