Hate Speech and Incitement to Genocide Panel Discussion



On February 5, 2013 the Museum brought together leading international experts for a discussion on hate speech and incitement to genocide. Co-convened by the the UN Office on Genocide Prevention and the Responsibility to Protect, and the UN Special Rapporteur on the Promotion and Protection of the Right to Freedom of Opinion and Expression, the panel discussed the challenge the international community faces in protecting the rights to freedom of opinion and expression while also combating incitement to genocide and preventing violence based on hatred.
