Vehicular travel is increasing throughout the world , particularly in large urban areas. Therefore the need arises for simulation and optimizing traffic control algorithms to better accommodate this increasing demand.This paper presents a microcontroller simulation of intelligent traffic light controller using PIC Microcontroller that is used to change the traffic signal cycles adaptively at a two-way intersection.
