Kuh Distinguished Lecture: Andy Grove, Intel

Dr. Andrew S. Grove, Former Chairman & CEO Intel Corporation
Of Microchips and Men: Tales from the Translational Medicine Front

Thursday, April 5, 2012 | 3:00pm
Sibley Auditorium, Bechtel Engineering Center, UC Berkeley

Andy Grove is a true pioneer of microelectronics. In that industry, rapid advances in technology, efficiently deployed, led to a revolution in business and in the way we live. Is such a revolution possible today in medicine? New medical technologies are coming fast, but translating them into drugs, devices, and diagnostics is agonizingly slow. How do we open the pipeline to get life-changing technologies to market—without increasing the cost of care?

The Ernest S. Kuh Distinguished Lecture Series is made possible by the generosity of Professor Emeritus and Mrs. Ernest Kuh. It will be held annually and feature an accomplished engineering professional from industry or academia. For more information, visit https://coe.berkeley.edu/events/kuh-lecture.
