This is my final project for my FED class which is a two way traffic light circuit using TTL logic gates. The gates used are a 7408 AND gate, a 7400 NAND gate, and a 7404 NOT gate. A 555 timer and a 74163 binary counter provides the clock pulses.
For people wanting to replicate the 4 stage (UK) traffic light system, you can tie the yellow output LEDs together using an OR gate and a transistor so both yellow LEDs light up at the same time when the red and green LEDs for each direction are changing.
