My Traffic Signal Intersection

This is a vid that’s been long overdue. As you can see, my traffic signal collection has really grown and I’ve graduated from modules to an actual control cabinet! From left to right, we have a 16″ Dialight LED countdown pedestrian signal (model 430-6479-001X), a 12″ poly McCain “doghouse” signal, the control cabinet, a 12″ poly McCain 3-section signal, as seen in my previous videos, and a 16″ GE GT1 pedestrian countdown signal, also seen featured in my previous vids. Although not seen, the controller is an EPAC. All the ball LEDs are GE RX-11 modules and the arrows in the doghouse signal are GE model GT1 (all the LEDs are labeled model “DR6″ or “DR5″ on the back, for some reason). Currently, everything is set up in a timed manner, since I don’t have any detection devices (yet…). There’s also no special programming currently set up with this (i.e., preemption, flash mode at night, etc.), I just have it set up to constantly cycle (I do turn the signals off when I’m not in the room though. Currently the Dialight ped module doesn’t have a housing for it, but I do hope to get one for it soon. I also took the cover off of the GE ped signal module so that it’s more easily viewed. Also, the reason for the reflection in the modules is because I have them covered with window tint because they’re so bright. They’re still fairly bright, but the tinting has taken the edge off the intensity so that it’s more manageable.

With all that said, enjoy the vid!
