On 5 March 2017, five of us went for a 168km bike rally organized by NTU Sports Club. I have been wanting to join this rally since two years ago, but the timings always clashed with work or family time. This year, with much gratitude to my beloved wife, who allowed me to ride on our special day, I finally got the green light. On the D-day, the weather was clear throughout the ride, up until the time when we reached the finish line, when it started pouring. The clear sky during ride brought with it a scorching heat during midday. But thanks be to God, everyone in the group was safe and overall it was fun though grueling at certain points. Kudos to the organizers and the volunteers who have worked hard for this event to be run safely and quite smoothly, except for the queue at the racepack collection at Shimano Cycling World. Would definitely try again next year, if the timing permits.
