Is it the paparazzi? Is it a UFO? No! It’s just a Police car. With all those strobe lights, flasher, light bars etc… it’s no wonder why many officers find themselves side swiped, hurt or killed while making a traffic stop. Their blinding strobes etc… makes us blinded like a camera repeatedly flashing in our eyes leaving us unable to judge distance from our vehicle to theirs. I think the one bar red white and blue lights on the roof of Police cars was plenty to get the job done. We have enough to worry about while driving like weather, street lights, traffic lights, break lights, head light, high beams, fog lights, flashers, warnings signals, super bright white LED’s etc… Now add in fatigue and or alcohol and many, many other distractionsm, you have a recipe for disaster. Please voice out to your city explain your concerns and ask for light regulation limitations on Police vehicles. Let’s save lives tone down the obnoxious, over the top, unnecessary lights for everyone’s safety.
Please push for this and end this silent in plain sight killer and put all of our safety first.
