The traffic lights at Shirvan intersection in Tobago are up and running.
Earlier on Tuesday, the lights were turned on following a short ceremony on Mil-shirv compound adjacent to the traffic lights.
Tobagonians have been clamoring for some kind of safety measure to be implemented at that intersection.
Initially, the THA planned to construct a roundabout but according to Works and Infrastructure Secretary, Gary Melville, they did not have the funding.
Traffic lights were installed at a total cost of $1.6 million.
