This film is about the life and travails of people living all around a website traffic signal in Mumbai. Silsila (Kunal Khemu) is the ‘manager’ of 1 website traffic signal i.e. he collects the ‘hafta’ (security tax) from each and every signal squatter plying his trade. There is Tsunami, a very little scavenger boy, there’s Rani (Neetu Chandra) a Gujrati girl offering ethnic outfits on the facet walk, and there’s Dominic (Ranvir Shorey) a drug addict and the prostitute who feels for him. Silsila, who’s an orphan, reports to Jaffer Bhai (D. Santosh) the area goon. Jaffer bhai in change reports to Haji (Sudhir Mishra) the leader of the area mafia. And the hafta, from each and every website traffic signal and territory that Haji controls, seeps upward to the politicians. Daily life is program, right up until Silsila and Jaffer Bhai get caught up in a chain of functions which threatens the very supply of their livelihood – the website traffic signal by itself.
