This is located in Rockford or Cherry Valley at the corner of Mill Road, and U.S. Route 20.
Every time we have come out here to visit family, I have always wondered why these strobes are here, and I think it’s because of the fact that in the morning and in the evening, the glare of the sun at this intersection is terrible, and the strobes help alert drivers in advance.
In 2014, after a drive out to Lena, IL with my uncle, I discovered they have these strobes installed on several traffic lights on U.S. 20 on the other side of the river on the outskirts of Rockford.
