Another in a series of kit builds I’ll be doing over the next few weeks. This one is quite long, I *probably* should have split it up into multiple parts (or not kept digressing into science talk), but I couldn’t find good spots to split it.
This is a neat traffic light light kit that uses an astable multivibrator to provide a clock signal to a decade counter, which then uses a dizzying array of diodes to illuminate the leds in a true traffic light pattern (including a pause with both lights red). It’s really quite neat.
