Traffic Light (Part 1) Simulator using Arduino UNO

This is a traffic light simulator using an Arduino UNO and a couple 74HC595N 8-bit shift register integrated circuits. This is the US version as I have seen a bunch on Youtube (I believe they are modeling European traffic signals) where the light goes from green to yellow to red, then back to yellow before going back to green. I have never seen a light like that before so this models a standard North American four-way traffic intersection.

This is just the first testing stage of my project. I plan to add all the sensors and the rest of the lights needed to show a four-way traffic intersection along with all four left-turn signals as well as pedestrian crossings. At this point, I am working the bugs out of my code to make sure it works as I want it to.
