Do any of you remember those traffic light mock tails that you used to get as a kid at certain restaurants. Well i do and i really loved going out and getting these cause i loved the colours and how it tasted.
Thinking back on this drink it gave me an idea to re create this drink but in a smoothie form. So i got the idea to do a traffic light smoothie.
Green Smoothie Ingredients:
1 Cup – Baby Spinach
1/2 Cup- Pineapple
10 Mint Leaves
1/4 Cup- Pineapple Juice
Half of Lime Juice and some of its zest
1 or 2 bananas ( add one and see how the thickness comes out then add a second if still runny)
Orange Smoothie Ingredients:
2 Small Oranges ( alternatively you can use 1 big one)
1 Banana
1 Apple (without the skin)
Half of a carrot
Half of lemon juice and some of its zest
A small amount of water (1/8th Cup or so)
Red Smoothie Ingredients:
1 Cup of strawberries ( Alternatively you can add less and add more frozen berries)
1/2 Cup of Frozen Berries ( Blackberries, Blueberries and Raspberries)
1-2 Bananas ( Add one and depending on the thickness add another one to make it thicker.
Small amount of water (1/8th Cup or so)
You can always substituent ingredients if you don’t have the ones above . Create this traffic light smoothie or if you prefer just do either the red, orange or green they are all very delicious.
