Traffic metering of 136th Street and Keystone Parkway Roundabout Interchange

The City of Carmel has added a traffic metering device at the roundabout interchange of 136th Street and Keystone Parkway to accommodate heavy traffic volumes associated with Carmel High School for commuters at the beginning and the end of each school day. As one of the largest high schools in the state of Indiana, more than 3,000 students, teachers and other employees move through this roundabout interchange in the morning and evening in addition to workforce commuters. This has prompted the City of Carmel to add this metering light, which will be activated by traffic volume. Once the line up of cars diminishes, the metering device will turn off and the roundabout interchange will flow normally.
