MAIN REASONS:
Increase in size of cities have made people to travel longer distance, to reach work place, schools- colleges, by their children, and led to increased usage of Buses and Trucks to meet their needs.
Increase in per-capita income of citizens also , has made people to make use of personal transport ( mainly increased in usage of LMVs -CARS, 2-3 wheelers ) for comfort and travelling for entertainment etc.,
High Vehicle concentration in many places, is due to permitting construction of Malls in busy market places and Construction of Apartments, people demolishing smaller houses and constructing houses with 4 floors in residential areas having small roads, in already busy locality. This will lead to vehicles hitting roads, in large numbers, at once during peak hours.
SOLUTION
Facilitates signal free movement of traffic to 8 directions for LMVs.
Only HTVs, LGVs ( Light Goods Vehicles ) and LMVs moving towards left, to use Ground level by using Traffic signal at intersections.
Huge time saving for LMVs, Two wheelers going straight and towards right.
HTVs from all directions and LCVs turning towards left also save huge time as more than 75% of traffic from all the sides are using flyover and very few are at ground level.
All the benefits as available in Model No. 1 in larger scale is available. Ie., space and cost compared to present type of flyovers moving in multiple direction.
Simple to construct when compared to Multiplevel flyovers or Multiple direction flyovers like Hebbal flyover.
For the traffic moving from any direction, it has not more than one deviation and only one mixing point with another traffic coming from only one direction.
No cross-over of traffic is required over the flyover.
The concept has been sent to Prime Minister’s Office, India and Bangalore Development Authority
