WOMAN ILLEGALLY BLOCKS HANDICAP RAMP WONT MOVE

It is against the law for anyone to block clear access to a handicap ramp.If this woman was disabled and actually ever used the wheelchair she is using for a shopping cart, she would KNOW a disabled person on a scooter or in a chair needs to enter a ramp from the center, straight on, or may drag the bottom of the scooter on the pavement and get stuck or a wheel could get caught and the scooter might tip over. That’s why many handicap ramps these days have the center painted bright yellow, so someone like me with visual impairment and issues with depth perception can clearly see the safe part of the ramp..

So, I can see her from across the street, wobbling around and moving her chair back and forth while talking on her cell phone and she’s right in the middle of the flipping ramp! Signal turns green, she obviously isn’t crossing, just standing there gabbing on the phone. By the time I get close enough to say something and motion I need to get up the ramp the light is ready to go red and all the cars waiting to turn right are about to start honking and yelling at me to get out of the street (I know, because this shit happens to me CONSTANTLY). Hostile belligerent people refuse to clear the ramp and allow me to safely get up on the sidewalk. Not only did she refuse to move, as I started to pass by her, coming within an inch or two of her (wide angle lens makes it look like there was a bit more room), she says to whomever she is talking to on the phone something like how she hates ‘dealing with people like that’, obviously meaning disabled Excuse my use of the ‘B’ word in the video, but I was beyond ticked off, had been put in ANOTHER dangerous situation I could do NOTHING to avoid.
